Next door to sister restaurant Provence Marinaside, The Wine Bar is a neighbourhood favourite on the seawall in Yaletown. At TWB, you’ll find a great glass of wine, a menu full of both small and large bites, great service, and a casual and warm atmosphere. The Wine Bar is a great place to catch up with friends, or have a drink and watch the characters of Yaletown pass by.

Originally from Bordeaux, I was guided here by the incredibly rich world of wine. To know more is my passion, and to safeguard the quality of every label is my duty. Myself, and the rest of TWB welcome you to enjoy a multitude of terroirs from my dear home, places unknown, to my new backyard.

I love the diversity of fresh ingredients that Vancouver offers. From seafood and shellfish to fresh fruits and vegetables, everything is available. With access to so many great ingredients, it’s easy to make beautiful, flavourful dishes for both The Wine Bar and Provence.

When I came to Canada, I began working with Chef Jean-Francis cooking at Provence Marinaside. Being from France, it was easy for me to work with the Mediterranean style of the menu. But The Wine Bar has really allowed me to expand and experiment with dishes that incorporate my French Heritage with  the North American style.

I love creating dishes for The Wine Bar. With the broad concept for the menu, I can draw from my own inspirations, bringing in flavours and ideas based on the comfort foods of my childhood.

THE WINES

At The Wine Bar, we have an extensive list of wines from around the globe. Available on tap, by the glass, or by the bottle, there’s something for everyone. With over 200 wines available by the glass, we have the largest by-the-glass wine program not only Vancouver, but all of Western Canada.

“The criteria I look for when selecting a wine that will be poured by the glass is that the wine should be varietally specific to the appellation and vintage. It should be ready to drink by itself or pair well with our food menu.” – Josh, Wine Director at TWB

THE MENU

We are more than just a wine bar. Our menu offers small and medium bites that are perfect for sharing as well as dinner-sized meals, making TWB the perfect spot for sharing tapas style or going solo for a full meal. Our menu is carefully created by Chef Jean-Francis and his team. The casual atmosphere of TWB gives them a great opportunity to branch out from the traditional Southern French fare of Provence Marinaside next door. However, for those who love the classics, the full Provence menu is always available at The Wine Bar.
